Dear Myron,

Please find below the latest page of ‘The Life of Myron Evans’.

Move to North Carolina        In order to boost his finances, Myron applied for the post of tenured full professor at the University of North Carolina in Charlotte and was interviewed for the position in February 1992.  The interviews lasted a day and a half and Myron also lectured before one hundred staff and students on the B(3) field.  Myron got the job and was promoted to tenured full professor with salary.  Myron and his wife subsequently moved to North Carolina to take up the post, but this move in retrospect was seen to be a tremendous mistake.  It was a forced error due to the fact that Myron was not salaried at Cornell.          Myron and Laura were most reluctant to move from Ithaca, and discussed renting their house there.  However they eventually had to sell it.  Initially Myron and Laura rented a small apartment in Charlotte and then moved again into a rented house.  Initially things went well at UNCC, but soon the early impact of the B(3) field had rattled the cages of lesser scientists round the world who could not accept that such scientific breakthroughs were possible.  These lesser scientists for some unfathomable reason started causing trouble for Myron which impacted on his employment in Charlotte.  In late 1994 Myron was forced out of his job and again lost a lot of our furniture as a result of the subsequent move.  At this time Myron was already one of the most published scientists in history, having started publishing papers while doing his Ph. D.., but now the implications of the B(3) field were causing ‘dark forces’ to attempt to stop these theories becoming better known.        Something must have happened behind the scenes because a paper to Physical Review E by Farahi and Myron in 1992 on B(3) was accepted for publication before a letter suddenly was received rejecting the accepted paper. This is an illustration of the politics of physics at work, and it can get ugly.  This signaled the start of a fierce battle between the standard model and Myron, and also signaled a conspiracy in which demonstrably false accusations were brought against Myron which caused him to leave UNCC.  The positive aspects included the support of Vigier and Wheeler for B(3) theory, later joined by Sternglass.  These were either Einstein’s assistants or invited to be (Vigier).  So Einstein would have had no problem with B(3).  It is now recognized that this was an episode when scholarly journals were used to work off a personal grudge. For example Barrett, Harmuth and Lehnert had also developed similar theories, and they were fortunate in not losing their jobs.  Both Harmuth and Lehnert were professors, and Barrett a distinguished consultant.  Vigier invited Myron to publish in Phys. Lett. A on B(3) , but his invitation was blocked without his knowledge by an assistant called Holland.  This is all very well known by now, and there is no point in hiding anything.  A running battle ensued in which papers would often appear in print entirely without Myron’s knowledge, and with Myron being denied the right of reply.  However, Myron was allowed to reply by Prof. van der Merwe in “Foundations of Physics” and “Foundations of Physics Letters”.  However this then led to attacks on Professor van der Merwe later on and his journals being destroyed.  This is a very dark episode in science publishing, but those responsible are known clearly.  They are ignored by the international community of scientists. The positive aspects are that Myron was still able to develop O(3) electrodynamics.     Return to Wales          Eventually Myron and Laura returned to Wales in January 1995 to live in Myron’s cottage that he had with foresight bought some time earlier.  The increasing power of the internet meant that Myron did not now need to be affiliated with a university department in order to continue his work.  So Myron worked on, but lack of stability and unwarranted scientific attacks had left Laura wounded and bewildered and soon she would no longer be a part of Myron’s life.         Myron was now able to work from his welsh home, but after July 1995 had no salary again.  Many colleagues tried to help, for example there were visiting professor invitations from York University Toronto through the good offices of Professor Stanley Jeffers, and to the Indian Statistical Institute through the good offices of Prof. Sisir Roy.  Myron was still well motivated in his scientific endeavors and was able to develop B(3) theory and O(3) electrodynamics in many directions, and managed to get the theory published in about twenty different refereed journals.  Again, Myron’s first wife Laura was a great help, but was in a foreign environment in Wales and dearly wanted to return to Ithaca.  So in 1997 Myron and Laura duly returned to the USA and bought a house again in Lois Lane Commonlands.  In 1998, AIAS was at last established from that house in Ithaca.        The formation of aias was a monumental point in Myron’s career, but however necessitated another transatlantic move, which was the last thing Laura wanted.  These many forced moves were obviously not good, and the strain on Laura was now intolerable.  Laura had had enough of the nomadic lifestyle and decided to leave in September 1998.  Myron was devastated and stayed in the Lois Lane house for about two years hoping in vain that Laura would return.  When Laura left, Myron’s life fell apart and it would take years for Myron to pick up the pieces.  Myron had entered his own personal dark age        A modem and computer system had been established in the house in Ithaca and so Myron was at least able to continue to work.  However, without Laura Myron’s life had lost its direction and Myron was like a rudderless ship finding his way through each new day.  Even getting out of bed now became a major challenge as a major severe depression, or clinical depression, had set in.  This illness was catalysed by years of turmoil and would not go away easily or some time soon.        Eventually Myron’s cousin Ellis Williams and his father Cen flew over and kindly helped Myron return to this cottage in Wales in 2001. Myron’s parents died in 2000 and 2002 respectively, and Laura filed for a no-blame divorce in 2002.  So this was a very dark time for Myron.  The medical characteristics of clinical depression are well known, and there is no need to rake it all up again.  The medical authorities advised that Laura and Myron had been put through an awful lot and no blame should be attached to either, but Myron’s condition worsened in late 2002, after his mother had died suddenly of a stroke.  In that condition Myron was gradually sinking into a state of not being able to move at all in damp and cold conditions.  However, typically Myron managed to keep working through it all.                    Myron was delighted in January 2003 when his second wife Larisa flew over to meet him.  They were eventually married in March 2004, and in Spring 2005 the British Government awarded Myron the High Honor of a Civil List Pension.  That was ten years after UNCC.  Now the way was open for Myron to make a complete recovery and to forge a happy second marriage.  Both Myron and Larisa have great respect for Laura and wish her the best for her future.      The years from 1998 to 2003 when he lacked a partner, were the most d
ifficult years of Myron’s life and were years of severe illness which only gradually went away.  Myron had a case of reactive clinical (major severe) depression of a very severe type, although not the very worst.  Myron continued to produce a lot of work in these years showing his creativity and intellectual ability remained intact, but his work rate was reduced and only progressed at all through his determination to fight against the odds to keep going.  Myron’s second wife Larisa was a great help in getting him out of the depression completely, but the recovery was a slow process.  The clinical depression was not caused by any of the many attacks by pseudo scientists, even though their behavior obviously did not help.  The onset of clinical depression was actually caused by a combination of attacks on Myron and his first wife Laura throughout the years 1992 to 1998, and by their unsettled existence from 1988 to 1998.  Laura was sent hate mail by a man called Geoffrey, who eventually was effectively dismissed from his post as associate professor for his efforts, but not before the damage was done.  Myron had been subjected to a great amount of assault by hate mail and treated it with the contempt that it deserves, but the effect on his wife was a different matter and directly led to the breakup of his marriage and subsequent illness.       Myron continues to be subjected to cyber stalking and harassment, which is a sad reflection on the mentality of some members of academia who should know better.  It seems that an original thinker has to go through this nonsense with lesser individuals every generation.  From 1998 to 2001 Myron was isolated in Ithaca in a state of mind which meant left him unable to move for up to 22 hours a day.  The situation was impractical and became exacerbated in 2000 when Myron’s father died suddenly.  Despite being very ill herself, Myron’s mother moved back into their old cottage in Craigcefnparc and ready for Myron’s return.  Myron had hoped Laura would return to him, but after all hope of return had gone, Myron’s cousin Ellis Williams and his father Cen flew over to the USA in January 2001 and flew with Myron in tow back to the United Kingdom with Myron having had to abandon a lot of furniture in Ithaca.  This was the second time that furniture had been abandoned; the first was in 1995 on leaving Charlotte, but Myron had survived the first years of his depression and was now back in the familiar and friendly environment of his youth.      After arrival back in Wales, Myron would need to fight the clinical depression for two more years, up until spring 2003.  Ellis Williams and John James helped a lot by setting up the computers in Myron’s home, after they were shipped back from the States.  So Myron remained operational during those years, but in poor condition.  During this time of severe illness Myron continued to receive attacks from pseudo academics, but a lot of help from a growing band of more enlightened colleagues who were becoming increasingly appreciative of the scope and potential of Myron’s work.  It is well known by now that these attacks were unscholarly.  Myron’s mother died suddenly in August 2002, after the shock of Myron’s father’s death in 2000 and after a marriage of over fifty years.  So from August 2002 it was a critical time, because Myron had to keep warm and dry despite being almost unable to move. In this time Cen and Ellis Williams helped a lot, as did John and the late Phyllis James.              Things improved markedly for Myron when his soon to be second wife Larisa arrived on the scene and set about the task of helping Myron back to full health.  Myron was delighted when Larisa arrived in January 2003, after having heard of his illness.  She could not understand why a distinguished scientist should be in such a condition.  After she arrived Myron was soon able to take his first walk for over two years..  After a lot of bureaucracy Larisa was granted a visa and arrived back again in March 2003.  At this time ECE theory was started.  Myron and Larisa had very little income but nevertheless somehow came through that critical time.  Sadly however, on April 22nd, 2003 Larisa’s mother died, and she returned to Latvia for the funeral, and about the same time Ellis’ mother Marbeth died of cancer.  Despite all this, things gradually got better and life returned to normality.  However, good fortune was now to enter Myron’s life as the full extent of the scientific breakthroughs Myron had made in his life were more widely recognized together with their importance in allowing Einstein’s life’s work to be continued!        During 2003, life gradually improved for Myron and Larisa, who took long walks around the beautiful village of Craigcefnparc, and Myron was able to get fifteen papers published in ‘Foundations of Physics Letters’ on ECE theory, establishing an unprecedented worldwide impact.  Myron gradually managed to normalize life, bought a car and put behind him the dark days of the last few years.  In March 2004, Myron and Larisa were married in a civil ceremony witnessed by John James and his late wife Phyllis, and set out on a new life together.  Myron was still being virulently attacked by hate mail and so on, but was now having the last laugh as he could see that ECE was overwhelming the bigots.       Appointment to the Civil List          In Spring 2005, out of the blue Myron received a letter form the Prime Minister’s Office appointing him to the Civil List in recognition of distinguished contributions to Britain in science, the first such appointment in science in over a century!  Myron and Larisa were also thrilled to receive an invitation to Buckingham Palace.  The British Government has always recognized Myron fairly, but some (by no means all) of the academic scene comes out of this in a bad way.  From 2005 onwards Larisa and Myron started to build up their cottage again from a virtually empty shell and Larisa’s daughters Kristina and Alina also arrived.  Kristina graduated B.A. in 2008 and her design is used now as the logo of Swansea Metropolitan University.  Alina started at Swansea Metropolitan University in the same year and is already producing impressive photography.  Myron’s new family are now well used to the sad behavior of some fringe pseudo academics and it has little effect on them except for bringing to the foreground the fact that education contains numerous individuals who are jealous of the work of others.          During the years 2005 to end of 2007 the ECE theory gathered great momentum through the conduit of aias and at the end of 2007 a great boost to all the efforts occurred when Francesco Fucilla arrived on the scene.  During 2005 and 2006 Myron had fought off some trivial criticisms by two aspiring, but limited German professors but the compelling truth of ECE theory left them in the shadows.  The Alpha Institute for Advanced Study was beginning to work efficiently as a team, and in 2007 AIAS and TGA merged to form an enlightened school of thought in physics.              The year 2008 was one of great advance, the Gold Medal Ceremony was held at Craig y Nos Castle and on that date, 7th July, that Myron was awarded both armorial bearings and badge by the British Government.  Myron’s arms were featured by the Government in a newsletter that contained some Knights, the Civil List appointment being commensurate with Order of Merit.        Being human like everyone else Myron needed a steady family life, and to be able to settle down in one place.  Larisa helped very much in all this, especially as she had to change cultures and had to go through times when
the couple had essentially no income and were being dogged by some of the weirdest of pseudo academic boneheads imaginable.  The real academic world is now taking intense interest in ECE, and Myron still has respect for such real academia because he remembers fondly being educated at an excellent university in one of the best chemistry departments in British history.  Myron believes kudos is nice of course, but a good family life is much better.        Both Myron’s first wife Laura and his second wife Larisa were a great help, as was the band of brothers who make up the staff of aias.  More recently the cooperation with Francesco has given Myron financial stability once more and a means to make his theories more widely known through an excellent film and has led to a lot of industrial and academic interest and enquiries.  Myron was invited to Buckingham Palace again in 2008, so things are going well and the interest and help of enlightened colleagues is of course greatly appreciated.    Kerry

OK, many thanks again! This is reminiscent of Silas Marner, the weaver who came to the village of Ravelow when thrown out of his own chapel in another village by the contrived charges of a false friend, and his wife to be taken f rom him. The whole novel is online now and readers can see for themselves the philosophy, belles lettres and narrative precision of George Eliot. The weaver hoarded gold for many years until it was stolen by the Squire’s drunken younger son, Dunstan Cass, who was drowned in a foggy pit of water as he left the weaver’s cottage with his ill-begotten gain. The weaver, distraught at losing his gold, found something better in the snow, a golden haired infant abandoned by a mother who had died of the cold. The weaver raised the child and when the stolen gold was found, along with the thief, it had no further effect on Silas at all.
