Magnetic Monopoles

There has been a claim all over the media that magnetic monopoles have been “discovered”. While this may or may not turn out to be reproducible I would like to point out that this claim is not original. In a book called “Essays on the Formal Aspects of Electromagnetic Theory” (World Scientific 1993, available from Amazon) there is a review on several previous experiments which also claimed to have observed magnetic monopoles. This work sets a precedent, so the latest claim is not new. ECE theory explains magnetic monopoles (if they exist) through the homogenous charge current density:

j = R ^ q – omega ^ T

So academic integrity is unreliable because citations of scholarly work often do not occur, and the standard model of physics is also unreliable. Publicity is often sought at the expense of scholarship, new ideas are often suppressed.
